Project description

This research will minimize cracking of concrete components, such as the ones observed in new bridge decks, by developing self-healing concrete (quicklime-based) suitable for applications in Utah, and quantifying the extent of crack-healing under service conditions as well as after exposure to salt-based deicing solutions.
