Project description

This research will investigate the use of new sources and current sources of coarse aggregates produced in Florida, which will be used to implement recommendations for revision to the Florida DOT (FDOT) Standard Specification for road and bridge construction, particularly sections 901 and 346, Pozzolans and Slag, and Portland Cement Concrete. The research will investigate the strength, physical, thermal, and durability properties of the aggregate materials and their suitability for use in concrete.
