Project description

A comprehensive study was performed to evaluate the alkali silica reaction (ASR) of eight Wyoming aggregates. State-of-the-art and standardized test methods were performed and results were used to classify these aggregate sources. Of the eight aggregates: four are reactive; two are moderately reactive; and two are nonreactive. The Concrete Prism Test (CPT) and large scale field blocks provided the most accurate data.
