Project description

The objectives of this project are to research the current state-of-the-art practices for bridge deck repair and overlay; identify specific bridge decks within Kentucky which have achieved extended life and evaluate the materials/processes that were utilized; identify products that may appear more durable for bridge deck overlay projects within the same geographic region as Kentucky; and develop guidance for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in selecting appropriate bridge deck replacement technologies.
