Project description

The objective of this project is to evaluate and monitor a bridge that has self-consolidating concrete for some of the precast/prestressed girders and an intermediate bent with 50% fly ash replacement. The bridge project will have both traditional and innovative beams and intermediate bents which allows the researchers to do direct comparisons. At the conclusion of the project, it will be determined if MoDOT should allow SCC and 50% fly ash replacement as options on MoDOT projects.
